Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of one Junior Research Fellow to work in the project funded by DBT in VIT University, Vellore on temporary basis.

Title of the project: Overexpression of exogenous and endogenous Phytoene synthase (PSY) gene in Dunaliella salina for the enhanced production of carotenoids.

Essential Qualifications: Candidates with First class M.Tech in Biotechnology / M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Biochemistry/Microbiology/Life Science.

Desired  Qualifications: Candidates with experience in molecular biology, algal culture will be preferred.

Emoluments:

1. M.Tech and M.Sc. with NET or GATE: Rs.25,000/- per month for initial two years, Rs.28,000/- per month for third year
2. M.Sc. without NET or GATE: fellowship as per institute norms
