Essential Qualifications: A First Class Masters degree (M.Sc. or MA) in Earth Sciences/ Hydrology/
Archeology from a recognized university / Institute. Consistently good academic record; first class/division in both higher secondary and B.Sc. /B.A. level and /or a minimum 60% marks.
Desirable Qualification:
• Knowledge of statistics
• Knowledge of atmospheric sciences
• 1-3 years of research experience, supported by publications
• Experience with data processing e.g. conversant with data analysis tools viz., MATLAB, R software.
• Working knowledge of statistics (in particular time series analysis)
• Ability to work with large datasets of different types.
• Comfortable in learning high precision instrumentation (like Stable Isotope Ratio
Mass spectrometers)
• Experience of working with communities.
• Knowledge of GIS and hydrology is a plus.
